
In 1935 Samuel Logan Stevens moved from Pecos, Texas to Lamesa, Texas and began working at a local blacksmith company in the city. After working for the local blacksmith for a few years, Mr Stevens worked out a deal with the owner to purchase the company. After assuming the debt of fifteen hundred dollars to Lubbock Hardware and one Oldsmobile vehicle, Sam Stevens Blacksmith came into existence in 1938.
Sam Stevens blacksmith excelled in blacksmithing and custom manufacturing supporting agriculture and several industries around Lamesa and West Texas. In 1966 the business incorporated and in 1974 Sam Stevens Inc committed its resources and time fully into agriculture equipment manufacturing.

Sam Stevens Incorporated is a family run business with the 4th generation of Stevens men now actively involved in its daily operations. Sam Edward Stevens with the help of his three sons has grown Sam Stevens Inc. in to the business it is today. Working with and listening to local Ag producers and navigating the ever fluctuating Ag markets, the company serves Ag farmers from the Texas gulf coast to the Panhandle and beyond.

Sam Stevens Incorporated is the inventor of the “Sandfighter”, a tool used to combat the high winds and sandy soils of West Texas to the plains of Kansas that can wreak havoc on emerging cotton and corn crops. Sam Stevens Incorporated is also the worlds only manufacturer of “Go Devil Knives” used in cultivation of crops and is the best remedy to combat and destroy the quickly spreading chemical resistant weeds.
Along with these much needed tools Sam Stevens Incorporated also manufactures toolbars and attachments for row crop farming for any row spacing and configuration.
